"32-33: Holodomor" is a multi-media installation delving into the emotional and historical context of surviving the Stalin-orchestrated famine of 1932-1933 in Soviet Ukraine. Transposing the testimonials of the survivors into film, photos, and material artifacts, the project unlocks this historical event by immersing the audience in its emotional landscape. Opening reception April 15th 5:30 pm Sudikoff Hall. Exhibition runs April 16-April21st.

Eurodonbas Film Screening with Guest Producer and Writer Anna Palenchuck, who will be doing an in person question and answer Following the film. The investigative documentary Eurodonbas aims to debunk Soviet myths and bring to light that more than 100 years ago, Donbas was an integral part of the European economy. April 16th 5pm. Loew Auditorium.

February 29th 7-9pm. Loew Auditorium. Alexey Navalny's political rise, attempted assassination, and search for the truth. Free and open to the public.

Russian classes (29 and 42) went to Boston to try real Russian cuisine at Cafe St. Petersburg. The trip, supported by the East European, Eurasian, and Russian Studies Department, was a wonderful adventure and favorite student experience this summer.
