Victor Shnirelman is a Doctor of Sciences, Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Technology and Anthropology, Russian Academy of Sciences. His area of specialty includes the politics of ethnicity, nationalism, and social memory in Russia (Soviet and post-Soviet) and the former Soviet republics (now independent states).
